Typical onboarding process and timelines
Onboarding process and timelines differ from customer to customer based on the following factors:
- Do you have manager access to your broker?
- How many brokers will you be working with?
- If you don’t have manager access, will you create account manually or still want automation?
- Does the customer want software to be installed on their servers or on want us to host it?
- And so on…
Timeline killer – frontend design
- Biggest time consuming task is getting the frontend design right.
- Design is subjective and each customer has its own criteria for what is “good” and what is not good.
- Usually takes significant back and forth to get the final design to meet the customer expectations – time and money involved is much higher than usually customers expect.
Typical setup of a new prop firm operation Go through our ste-by-step process below
Step 1 – Setup frontend site with WordPress
- You need a front-office or also called as front-end site where you can showcase your prop firm and advertise your challenges.
- This marketing site can be easily built in WordPress CMS (Content Management System) with shopping cart plugins to accept payments.
- There are many free / paid WordPress hosting providers. You can pick any and start.
Step 2 – Create back-office setup using fxReports hosted solution
- fxReports software is built for prop firms so they can easily setup their back-office.
- Now fxReports comes also as a “hosted” solution or SaaS solution – Software as a Service.
- There is no upfront cost if you want to try the hosted solution for one month. If you decide to continue, you will be asked to pay 100 USD non-refundable setup fee and after that it is $8 per active account per month.
Step 3 – Define your challenges and programs
- Once you have admin access to the fxReports hosted solution (for testing purposes, create a free account at our main demo site or if you want, directly jump to your own hosted instance for $100 non-refundable setup fee.)
- Login to the admin panel and setup your first program or challenge.
- Once the program or challenge is setup, next step would be to integrate the front-end with the back-end.
Step 4 – Integrate your WordPress site shopping cart with back-office
- Final step is to integrate your shopping cart with back-office so the trader accounts can be created automatically as soon as the payments are processed.
- This step is optional but if you wish to set it up, all you need to do is setup the webhook in your woocommerce or similar shopping cart solution to call the back-office account creation API.
- At this point, you are up and running your prop firm – grow your business and leave the technical stuff to us…
